This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before buying, confirm that a replacement PCB will address your problem by running our hard drive diagnostics and checking compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive PCBs store unique information in a ROM chip; this data is required for correct drive operation and must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or programs the new board with the correct ROM data.
