This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — no HDD is included. Because we stock a large number of boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The board is designed for use in hard drive repair and data recovery operations. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many Seagate PCBs store essential calibration and configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board; if the chip can be physically moved it is a job a local electronics technician can perform. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new board or reprogramming the replacement PCB with the correct ROM data.
