Item is for the hard drive circuit board / logic board only — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, verify that a replacement board will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs store unique calibration and configuration data in a ROM memory chip; that data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip itself or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
