This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended uses: data recovery and hard drive repair. Most PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM (memory) chip that is required for the drive to function correctly. That ROM chip or its data must be transferred or programmed onto the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant.
