This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the unit you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This circuit board is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery work. Most PCBs hold drive-specific data in a ROM "memory" chip; that unique information is required for the drive to function properly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If physical chip transfer is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the procedure.
