This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the drive itself is not included. Because we stock many PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before buying, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your problem by using our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs hold unique data in a ROM (memory) chip that is required for normal drive operation; that ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. When a physical chip transplant is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
