Item is for the hard drive circuit board / logic board ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock large quantities of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery. Before purchasing, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide to determine whether a replacement PCB will resolve your issue, and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs hold unique ROM data on a memory chip; that information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be moved to, or copied onto, the replacement board. If possible, a local computer technician can perform the chip transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transferring the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
