This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock a large number of compatible PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair applications. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs hold unique information in a ROM ("memory") chip that is required for the drive to function correctly; that ROM data must be moved to the replacement board or the new board must be reprogrammed. If the ROM chip can be transplanted, a local computer technician can typically perform the procedure. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transferring the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement with the correct ROM data.
