Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the actual board you receive may vary slightly from the pictured item. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Many Seagate PCBs contain unique calibration/configuration data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If transfer by soldering is possible, a local computer technician can typically perform the job.
