Item is the hard drive PCB / logic board only — hard drive is NOT included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photograph. This circuit board is supplied for use in hard drive repair and data recovery scenarios. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: many hard drive PCBs contain unique ROM (memory) data that is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transplant yourself, a local computer technician should be able to move the chip. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
