This listing is for the hard drive logic board (PCB) only — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of these boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These circuit boards are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most 2.5" drive PCBs store unique ROM (memory) data that is required for the drive to operate correctly; that ROM chip or its contents must be moved to or programmed into the replacement board. If transplanting the ROM chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the procedure. Orders of $60 or more qualify for our complimentary adaptation service, which includes either transferring the ROM chip to the new board or reprogramming the replacement PCB with the correct ROM data.
