This sale is for the hard drive circuit board / logic board (PCB) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: replacement PCB for hard drive repair or data recovery. Before ordering, confirm a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide. Also verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most Seagate PCBs contain unique ROM (memory) chip data that is required for the drive to function properly. That ROM data must be transferred to the replacement board (either by transplanting the chip or by reprogramming the board). If a chip transplant is feasible, a local computer technician should be able to perform it. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service which includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement PCB with the correct ROM data.
