Safavieh Wilton Rug Collection, Floor Decor. SKU sku-47219711; UPC 683726657590. These simple indoor area rugs come in multiple sizes. A rug pad is recommended to reduce sliding. For routine care, vacuum thoroughly and often, especially in high-traffic areas, preferably with a canister vacuum without beater bars; avoid vacuuming fringe.

Blot liquid spills promptly with a clean cloth rather than rubbing. For stains, apply the foam from a mixture of water, white vinegar and mild detergent, then blot away residue; difficult stains may need professional cleaning. For 100 percent viscose rugs, which are cellulose-derived and have a silk-like feel, use a carpet sweeper or a low-power vacuum with the beater bar disengaged or raised.

Clean viscose stains with a damp cloth and mild cleanser; the same foam mixture may help with tougher stains, and a little fabric softener can help preserve softness. New wool rugs naturally shed. Use a rug pad, vacuum 1-2 times a week for the first few weeks with low pressure and no beater bar, and follow the pile direction. Excessive shedding generally lessens within 4-6 months.

Clip loose ends or loops instead of pulling them. Shipping creases usually settle; reverse rolling can help. Use protectors beneath heavy furniture to limit pile flattening, and shade rugs from direct sunlight to reduce fading. For indoor-outdoor rugs, follow the material-specific care label. Sweep and vacuum more often, blot spills without rubbing, and sponge remaining stains with cold water.

For periodic cleaning, sweep, vacuum and rinse with a garden hose, then dry both sides over a railing in sunlight.
