The Antronix MRA4-8 is a four-output signal amplifier with a passive return path that delivers +7.5 db per port to strengthen antenna (OTA) and cable signals for distribution to multiple TVs. By amplifying weak inputs it reduces snow and prevents image pixelation on digital channels and can also improve HDTV reception and cable modem performance. Compatible with all standard and digital cable TV services and OTA antenna reception; not compatible on systems with an existing amplifier or pre-amplifier. Performance and protection features include a 3 dB Noise Figure for clean amplification, compliance beyond all SCTE Standards, and 6 kV combination wave surge protection on all ports to guard against lightning strikes. The nickel-plated housing offers excellent corrosion resistance against salt fog and rust. The unit uses a PTC Short-Circuit Protected UL Listed Adaptor — a self-resetting circuit protector that helps minimize outage time in the event of a short.
