Sikkens SIK43078.05 Off-White Wood Finish sku-189182530

Sikkens SIK43078.05 is a 5 gal Proluxe 23 Top Coat RE Wood Finish in Natural (078), listed in Off-White under Wood Stains, Coatings & Finishes. The source also identifies it as SIK43078/05. This translucent exterior finish uses an oil-alkyd formula with iron oxide pigments and UV absorbers. It is described as water repellent, weather resistant, flexible and breathable, with a satin sheen.

The listing says it penetrates and adheres to vertical wood, helps retain color, and minimizes peeling and blistering when used as directed. Apply Cetol 1 RE to properly prepared wood as the base coat before Cetol 23 RE, which may serve as the second and third coats. Suitable listed surfaces include log walls and homes, siding, garage and entrance doors, outdoor furniture, trim and windows.

It is not for walkable horizontal surfaces such as decks; the listing suggests Cetol SRD or Cetol DEK for decks. Stated coverage per coat is 200 to 300 sq. ft. per gallon on rough or weathered wood and 400 to 500 on smooth wood or hardwoods; actual coverage depends on the wood and application method.

Other listed colors are Natural Oak (005), Dark Oak (009), Mahogany (045), Butternut (072), Cedar (077) and Teak (085). The Sikkens color visualization tool and purchasable samples can help with color choice, though screen colors may differ from the delivered finish. A 2019 update says PPG renamed Proluxe Cetol 23 Plus RE Wood Finish as Proluxe 23 Top Coat RE without changing the formula.

The listing offers free ground shipping on qualifying 1 gallon and 5 gallon pails to the lower 48 United States, excluding Alaska, Hawaii and US territories; the offer applies to this item only. Air shipping is unavailable because of D.O.T. restrictions. SKU sku-189182530; UPC 056198655690.
