CNC-machined aluminum alloy fittings and an anodized finish add durability and corrosion protection while keeping the unit surprisingly light at 1.1 lb (480g). Compact travel size with tall reach: the monopod collapses to 18.5 inches for transport and extends to 66.9 inches for overhead shots, long-telephoto use, or stable tracking. A 5-section twist-lock leg system makes extension and setup fast and secure. Stable under heavy loads: the design carries up to 26 lb (12 kg) and features a 1.28-inch maximum tube diameter to improve torsional stability. Ergonomic touches include a foam grip and a safety wrist strap, and the base offers an interchangeable rubber foot and steel spike for use on varied terrain. Flexible mounting and head options: the platform accepts both 1/4" and 3/8" threads so it works with a wide range of camera gear. Attach the included optional ball head to gain 360° panning, tilt control and a U-notch for quick vertical framing.
