Florida Foliage Yellow Perennials, 20 | sku-2794021958

Florida Foliage Yellow Perennials, sku-2794021958, UPC 607331373287, include 20 live, fully rooted ornamental peanut plants (Arachis glabrata). This long-lived groundcover produces bright yellow, edible, peanut-flavored flowers from spring to first frost and can be walked on. Once established, it needs no supplemental water or replanting.

It needs little fertilizer and no supplemental nitrogen or phosphorus; as a legume, it makes its own nitrogen. Perennial peanut is also used for grazing, hay and citrus cover crops, and several cultivars are available for home landscapes. It may suppress weeds, reduce nutrient leaching, and add nitrogen and organic matter to soil.

Like other cover crops, it can compete with trees for water and nitrogen.
