Florida Foliage Green Pampas Perennials sku-2830119998

Florida Foliage offers 30 Plants of Green dwarf pampas grass, Cortaderia selloana 'Pumila', under Perennials. SKU: sku-2830119998; UPC: 305361806668. This Argentinian native forms dense clumps of narrow, arching, finely serrated green leaves. Large, feathery white to silvery-white plumes appear from mid-summer through fall, with creamy-white flowers on upright stalks.

The dwarf selection is cold hardy and non-reseeding, including in Mid-Atlantic areas where regular pampas grass can spread. It grows in USDA Zones 8-10 in full sun and dry to medium, well-drained soil; it tolerates light shade and drought once established. Cut the foliage to the ground in late winter, and divide clumps from late winter to early spring.

It can be planted as a specimen, along walls and fences, in borders or as screening. Cut plumes can be dried for indoor arrangements. Pampas grass is native to Brazil, Argentina and Chile; it was planted internationally in Victorian times and remains a popular ornamental grass.
