Manuka Honey UMF 20+ (MGO 826+) Pure New Zealand Honey 1.1 lb

New Zealand Manuka honey has been recognized as nature's wonderfood due to its health-maintaining effects and unique properties. In 1981, research conducted by Waikato Honey Research Unit showed that some strains of New Zealand Manuka honey contains naturally present and powerful unique activity not found in other honey.

This unique activity known as "Unique Manuka Factor (UMF)" exceeds the usual active properties of honey, which makes Manuka honey one of nature's true wonderfoods. Store below 25 degrees Celsius. UMF = measure of unique type of activity that is naturally present at varying levels in honey made from the nectar of the Manuka honey, which is native to New Zealand.

Manuka honey that bears the UMF quality trademark guarantees both purity and quality. The UMF mark is followed by a number that indicates the strength of the UMF activity in a batch of UMF Manuka honey. The higher the UMF rating, the more potent the product. UMF 20+ (MGO 826+) manuka honey from the pristine native forests of New Zealand.

UMF manuka honey is lab-certified to UMF 20+ standard, equivalent to methylgloxal (MGO). UMF is the association of New Zealand honey producers that governs the manuka honey UMF rating system specifically to protect consumers from being misled by the many honey labels making claims to be 'active' or 'bio-active' without achieving UMF manuka honey standards.

Each batch of manuka honey is individually tested by an independent laboratory to certify its UMF rating. Only API Health publishes its lab test results, which means you can be certain you are getting honey of the quality and rating on its label. Make an informed choice and beware of manuka honey that claims health benefits without carrying a UMF rating.
