Kidde 30CUD10 White 5-inch Combo Alarm sku-5229819026

Kidde 30CUD10 is a White, 5-inch battery-operated combination smoke and carbon monoxide alarm (UPC 047871329250; SKU sku-5229819026). Its photoelectric sensor detects visible smoke particles associated with smoldering fires, while an electrochemical sensor detects carbon monoxide. The sensor design reduces nuisance alarms associated with cooking and shower steam.

Internal components self-test, but this does not replace a manual button test once per week. When the alarm senses smoke, fire or carbon monoxide, it sounds an 85-decibel alarm and lights a red LED. Its 3 status LEDs show green for normal operation, amber for a fault or error, and red for smoke, fire or carbon monoxide.

An included 3-Volt lithium battery powers the alarm during outages, with no wiring or battery replacement needed during its stated 10-year life. Mount the bracket to the ceiling and twist the alarm into place. A low-battery chirp and an end-of-life alarm signal when replacement is needed. The Test-Hush button tests the alarm and silences nuisance alarms.

A 10-Year limited manufacturer's warranty begins when the alarm is powered on; it is not a battery-performance claim. The listing says the alarm meets UL 217 9th Edition, UL2034 4th Edition, FCC, CSFM and California Prop 65 requirements.
