Kenwood Excelon XR1001-1 Reference Series Class-D Mono Subwoofer Amplifier — 1000W RMS at 2-Ohms

The Kenwood Excelon XR1001-1 is a Class-D mono amplifier engineered specifically to drive subwoofers, with a usable frequency range between 20 and 200 Hz — it is not intended for full-range speakers. Its Class-D design uses digital switching power supplies for much higher efficiency (less heat generated) than Class AB. A wired remote control with a 20-foot cable is included so you can adjust subwoofer level from the vehicle cabin. The amp is rated for operation into a 2-Ohms load. The built-in low-pass crossover is continuously variable from 50 to 200 Hz, with the slope selectable at -12dB/octave or -24dB/octave; the crossover is always engaged and cannot be bypassed. An infrasonic filter is provided with a variable frequency range of 15Hz to 40Hz, a -24dB/octave slope, and can be switched on or off as needed.
