K&N states that dyno testing showed up to 50% more airflow than a factory air box and intake tube, with increased horsepower and acceleration without an ECU tune. The system is intended to improve throttle response when towing and changes the engine sound.

It is designed to help keep contaminants out of the engine, bolts on with basic hand tools in less than an hour, and needs no filter cleaning for up to 100,000 miles. It carries a 10-year/million-mile limited warranty.
