K&N 30-1542 is a DRYFLOW performance air intake system for the 05-19 Dodge Magnum V8 with a 5.7L or 6.1L engine. Its reusable, washable dry air filter requires no oil. The filter has 2 layers of pleated synthetic media that help block dirt and dust while allowing clean air to flow. Under normal highway driving conditions, it needs cleaning every 50,000 miles.

The less restrictive airflow path is designed to increase horsepower and torque; wheel-based dynamometer test reports are included with each system. The intake produces an engine growl during acceleration and returns to a quieter sound at speed.

A rotationally molded, high-density polyethylene intake tube helps increase airflow, while the enclosed air box helps shield intake air from engine-bay heat. The system does not void the manufacturer's vehicle warranty and has a lifetime limited warranty. It includes the parts and instructions needed for installation, which typically takes less than 60 minutes with basic hand tools.
