This Snapshots of the Past Wall Art print depicts Walter Goodspeed of Grand Rapids, Mich., before a profit sharing conference. It measures 16 x 20 inches and is listed in Black, size L. The company reproduces historical maps, photographs and prints restored from Library of Congress archives, using fine-art and archival paper with pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, Snapshots of the Past says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers. The company was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008.

Lithography, invented in 1796, made inexpensive mass production of prints possible. The Library of Congress launched its American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerned with American cultural heritage.

The company's range also includes old holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for display at home or work or as gifts. SKU: sku-13248753851. UPC: 463937631592.
