The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from the Library of Congress archives and uses archival paper and pigmented inks for its reproductions.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for a White House redecoration project in 2008.

Lithography was invented in 1796; the Library of Congress launched its American Memory pilot in 1989, laying the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections on American cultural history.

The company's range also includes old holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for display at home or work or as gifts.
