The company restores historical maps, photos, and prints from Library of Congress archives for home, study, or workplace display. Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints.

It lists over 200 bookstores and other retailers, tens of thousands of internet customers, and selection as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography was invented in 1796. The Library of Congress launched the American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage.

The company uses fine-art and archival paper; prints made with archival paper and pigmented inks are described as suitable for passing down through generations. Its examples of other prints include old Halloween, Mother's Day, and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago, and San Francisco. The listing also suggests its retro-style posters as gifts.
