Snapshots of the Past L Wall Art | sku-13280113720

This Snapshots of the Past Wall Art is a Black, size L reproduction of a Signal Corps photograph showing a young Japanese evacuee reading a bulletin board at the Stockton (Calif.) Assembly Center. Civilian Restrictive Order No. 1 is posted on the board. The print measures 16" x 20" and is made with archival paper and pigmented inks from a Library of Congress image.

Snapshots of the Past was founded in 2001 and says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers. The company was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008.

Lithography was invented in 1796; a Library of Congress pilot project called American Memory began in 1989 and laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections concerning American cultural history.
