Snapshots of the Past uses Library of Congress images for reproductions on archival paper with pigmented inks. Founded in 2001, the company says it was the first to offer these images as fine-art prints, has supplied over 200 bookstores and other retailers, and was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography was invented in 1796.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989, laying the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections on American cultural history. SKU sku-13656357433; UPC 467235827190.
