Snapshots of the Past Wall Art in Black, size L, sku-13292205849, UPC 464608670810. This 16" x 20" print depicts Riverside Park and Boat House in Toledo, Ohio. The company reproduces historical maps, photographs and prints restored from Library of Congress archives. Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints.

Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, developed in 1796, enabled inexpensive mass production of prints.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage. The reproductions use archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

The range includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for display at home or work or as gifts.
