Snapshots of the Past's "Return from the field" is a 16" x 20" historic print. This Black, size L Wall Art is listed as sku-13242751316, UPC 462939183177. The company makes reproductions of historical maps, photos and prints restored from Library of Congress archives, using archival paper and pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. Lithography was invented in 1796, making inexpensive mass production of prints possible.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; the National Digital Library Program followed in 1995 to digitize selected collections about American cultural heritage. The company's retro-style prints include holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, and can be displayed at home or at work or given as gifts.
