Snapshots of the Past Wall Art L print sku-13274064144

Snapshots of the Past Wall Art in Black, size L (SKU sku-13274064144; UPC 464866226576), depicts President Wilson speaking before Congress about U.S. entry into the war in 1917. The print measures 16" x 20". The company, founded in 2001, says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproductions.

Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. The company's historical maps, photographs and prints are reproductions restored from Library of Congress archives and made with fine-art archival paper and pigmented inks.

Lithography, a technique that enabled inexpensive mass-produced prints, was invented in 1796. The Library of Congress launched its American Memory pilot in 1989; it laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections on American cultural history.

The range also includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. The prints can be displayed at home or work or given as gifts.
