Snapshots of the Past Black Posters L | sku-13244302125

This Snapshots of the Past Posters print shows North Pennsylvania Street in Indianapolis. It measures 16" x 20" and is listed in Black, size L, as sku-13244302125 (UPC 468174234216). The company was founded in 2001 and says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints.

Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, made inexpensive mass production of prints possible.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; that work laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections on American cultural history. The reproductions use fine-art and archival paper with pigmented inks, intended to last for generations.

The range includes historical maps, photographs, holiday posters and early aerial city views for display at home or work, or as gifts.
