Snapshots of the Past Ohio Posters L sku-13257170552

This Snapshots of the Past poster reproduces a historic view of Toledo beach from chutes in Toledo, Ohio, at 16" x 20". It is listed as a Black, size L print made with archival paper and pigmented inks from imagery restored from the Library of Congress archives. The company, founded in 2001, says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproductions.

It reports buyers including over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers, and says it was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. Lithography was invented in 1796.

A Library of Congress pilot project called American Memory began in 1989 and laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections on American cultural history.

The range includes historical maps, photos and prints, such as holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, for display at home or work or as gifts. SKU: sku-13257170552. UPC: 463395084756.
