Snapshots of the Past Wall Art Print L sku-13277353913

This Snapshots of the Past Wall Art print, size L and listed in Black, reproduces a Nantucket poster for The New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad Co. by John Held Jr. It measures 16 x 20 inches. UPC: 465730644038. SKU: sku-13277353913. The company says its reproductions draw on Library of Congress archives and use archival paper and pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints, has sold through over 200 bookstores and other retailers as well as to tens of thousands of online customers, and was chosen as a vendor for a 2008 White House redecoration project.

The listing also discusses lithography, invented in 1796, and the Library of Congress's 1989 American Memory pilot, which laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program launched in 1995 to digitize selected collections on American cultural heritage.

It suggests historical maps, photographs and prints for display at home or work, including old holiday posters and early aerial city views, and as gifts.
