The company reproduces historical maps, photos and prints restored from Library of Congress archives on archival paper with pigmented inks, using fine-art papers.

Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers and tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, enabled inexpensive mass production of poster prints.

The Library of Congress launched its American Memory pilot project in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage. The company's reproductions also include holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco.

Its archival prints are intended to last for generations and can be displayed at home or work or given as gifts.
