Snapshots of the Past Wall Art in Black, size L, SKU sku-13262873332, UPC 466177099962. This 16" x 20" historical print shows May Craig wearing sunglasses in the front of a jeep, with Maj. Genl. Gerald C. Thomas in the rear, during her visit to the front lines of the Korean War. The company makes reproductions of historical maps, photographs and prints restored from Library of Congress archives.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproductions. Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make mass-produced prints inexpensive.

A Library of Congress pilot project called American Memory began in 1989 and laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections focused on American cultural history. The company's reproductions use fine-art and archival paper; prints made with archival paper and pigmented inks are intended to last for generations.

Its range also includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters, and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, for display at home or work or as gifts.
