Snapshots of the Past Wall Art sku-13227167941 is a Black, size L reproduction print of Janesville, Wis., showing the Rock River Valley above the city. It measures 16 x 20 inches; UPC 465737337407. The company restores historical maps, photographs, and prints from Library of Congress archives for home decor.

Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, enabled inexpensive mass production of prints.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections focused on American cultural history. The company's reproductions use fine-art and archival paper, and prints made with archival paper and pigmented inks can last for generations.

Its range includes old Halloween, Mother's Day, and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago, and San Francisco for display at home or work or as gifts.
