Snapshots of the Past sku-13292305448 is a Black print listed under Posters in size L, UPC 468455451547. The 16 x 20 print depicts Jack Dempsey, identified in the title as 1895-, posing with a Civil Defense poster titled "A Strong America" that shows Jesse Owens on starting blocks.

Snapshots of the Past offers reproductions of historical maps, photos and prints restored from Library of Congress archives. Founded in 2001, the company says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers.

It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make inexpensive mass-produced prints possible. A 1989 Library of Congress pilot project called American Memory laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage.

The reproductions use fine-art and archival paper; prints made with archival paper and pigmented inks are intended to last for generations. The range includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. The retro-style prints can be displayed at home or work or given as gifts.
