Snapshots of the Past Wall Art L sku-13256106634 Print

This Snapshots of the Past Wall Art is a Black, size L reproduction print titled [J.M. Elizalde, Philippine Resident Commissioner, & Benito Razon], measuring 16" x 20". The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from the Library of Congress archives for home decor.

Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, enabled inexpensive mass production of poster prints.

In 1989, the Library of Congress pilot project American Memory laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage. The reproductions use fine-art archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

The range includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. These retro-style prints can be displayed at home or work or given as gifts. SKU sku-13256106634; UPC 462000280668.
