Snapshots of the Past Easter dawn is a Black, size L Wall Art reproduction print measuring 16" x 20" (sku-13273068243; UPC 468475819679). The company restores historical maps, photographs and prints from Library of Congress archives. Founded in 2001, it says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproductions.

Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, developed in 1796, made inexpensive mass-produced posters possible.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; it laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections on American cultural history. The prints use archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

The range includes vintage holiday posters and early aerial views of cities, suitable for display at home, at work or as gifts.
