The company restores historical maps, photos, and prints from Library of Congress archives and makes reproductions with archival paper and pigmented inks. Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers.

It was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. Lithography was invented in 1796, enabling inexpensive mass production of prints. In 1989, the Library of Congress began the American Memory pilot project, which laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program begun in 1995. That program digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage.

The company's reproductions also include vintage holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago, and San Francisco for display at home, in a study, or at work.
