Snapshots of the Past Wall Art Print L sku-13237866626

Snapshots of the Past Wall Art depicts an Interior Alaska costume in Seward. This Black print measures 16" x 20" and is listed as size L. SKU: sku-13237866626. UPC: 465045054706. The company, founded in 2001, reproduces historical maps, photographs and prints from Library of Congress archives on fine-art and archival paper using pigmented inks.

It says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints and has supplied over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography was invented in 1796, allowing less expensive mass production of prints.

The Library of Congress launched the American Memory pilot in 1989; it laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, begun in 1995 to digitize selected collections concerning American cultural heritage. The range also includes holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for display at home or work or as gifts.
