Snapshots of the Past Wall Art 16 x 20 L sku-13300815673

Snapshots of the Past Wall Art in Black, size L, is a 16 x 20 historic print titled "Headquarters of Genr. Scott [...], 17 and I." Its SKU is sku-13300815673 and its UPC is 468264276249. The company restores maps, photographs and prints from the Library of Congress archives.

Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make mass-produced prints inexpensive.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections focused on American cultural heritage. The prints use archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

The collection includes holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco.
