Snapshots of the Past Wall Art in Black, size L: a 16" x 20" historic print titled "General Weitzels Head Quarters 18th Corps." The company makes reproductions of historical maps, photos and prints restored from Library of Congress archives. Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints.

Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make inexpensive mass-produced prints possible.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage. The company uses fine-art and archival paper; prints made with archival paper and pigmented inks are intended to last for generations.

Its range also includes holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. SKU: sku-13223473802. UPC: 462138369587.
