Snapshots of the Past Wall Art L | sku-13287111956

Snapshots of the Past Wall Art in Black, size L, sku-13287111956, UPC 467276289001, is a historic print titled General view of the cedars of Lebanon Lebanon Holy Land, measuring 16" x 20". The company reproduces historical maps, photographs and prints restored from Library of Congress archives using archival paper and pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it describes itself as the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008.

Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make mass-produced prints inexpensive. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; that project laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections about American cultural heritage.

The brand also offers historical posters, including holiday designs and early aerial city views, for display or gifts.
