Snapshots of the Past Wall Art in Black, size L. SKU sku-13264350938; UPC 461012362614. This 16 x 20 historic print reproduces a Federal Theatre poster for Big Blow, a drama of hurricane country by Theodore Pratt. Snapshots of the Past restores historical maps, photographs and prints from Library of Congress archives.

Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its customers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet buyers. The company was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008.

Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make inexpensive mass-produced prints possible. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989. That project laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections on American cultural history.

The reproductions use fine-art archival paper and pigmented inks and are made to last for generations. The collection includes old holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for display at home or work or to give as gifts.
