Snapshots of the Past Wall Art Print L sku-13303555665

Snapshots of the Past Wall Art print sku-13303555665, UPC 469391978204, is a Black, size L reproduction of Edsel Ford before the profit sharing Committee in Washington, D.C., measuring 16" x 20". The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives for home decor.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography, developed in 1796, made inexpensive mass-produced prints possible.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; it laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections focused on American cultural heritage. The reproductions use fine-art and archival paper; prints made with archival paper and pigmented inks are intended to last for generations.

The range also includes holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, offered as decor or gifts.
