The company reproduces historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives on fine-art and archival paper with pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, which enabled inexpensive mass production of prints, was invented in 1796.

The Library of Congress launched its American Memory pilot in 1989; that project laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, begun in 1995, to digitize selected collections concerning American cultural heritage. The seller describes archival paper and pigmented inks as suitable for prints that can be kept for generations.

Its other examples include old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, intended for display at home or work or as gifts.
