Snapshots of the Past Wall Art L Print sku-13247616000

This Snapshots of the Past Wall Art print depicts Duke Ellington, composer of the original score for the film Jonas. The Black, size L print measures 16" x 20". The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives as reproductions on fine-art and archival paper, using pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

Founded in 2001, Snapshots of the Past says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008.

Lithography, invented in 1796, enabled inexpensive mass production of prints. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; it laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections focused on the complexity of American cultural heritage.

The company's retro-style prints include holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for display at home or work or as gifts. SKU: sku-13247616000. UPC: 463534844838.
