Snapshots of the Past Wall Art L | sku-13208216871

Snapshots of the Past Wall Art, sku-13208216871, is a Black, size L historic print of Doeberitz making stew for prisoners, measuring 16 x 20 inches. UPC: 468942553778. Founded in 2001, the company was the first to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers.

It was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives and makes reproductions using archival paper and pigmented inks, intended to last for generations. Lithography, invented in 1796, made inexpensive mass-produced prints possible.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; the National Digital Library Program followed in 1995 to digitize selected collections on American cultural heritage. The company's range includes old holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, offered as home or workplace decor and gifts.
